I was born in Austin, Texas and have lived in this area ever since. You may recognize me if you frequent 80’s night at Barbarella’s. You may even know my troupe Come@Me if you’ve attended any of the local improv comedy theaters.
At a young age, I picked up my family’s Polaroid 600 instant film camera and my love of photography began. I’ve had many cameras since then, but I always cherished that first one. I still have that old camera!
One of my favorite spots has always been Top Notch hamburgers! The first time my dad took me to Top Notch, I was filled with excitement. You see, when my dad was a kid he would ride his bike to Top Notch and bring back two bags of burgers in each hand as he gripped the handlebars and navigated his neighborhood streets. On our way there, he delighted us with stories of Top Notch trips past. As we arrived, my excitement turned to concern. Top Notch looked nothing like the shiny Burger Kings and McDonalds my young eyes had grown accustomed to. I pleaded with my dad to turn around! Surely a better place was close by! My worries were proven unfounded the moment I took my first bite. Still to this day one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
